Temple United Vampyr Unitarian Pagan - Vampyrian Spirituality

Turning is brought up in groups often as well as people asking if Vampyrism can be learned and taught. So that got me thinking. I think some people could learn to act as a Vampyr as Wytches often manipulate energy all the time and normal humans could learn to take energy from people (as I don't believe most proclaimed “emotional vampires” are true vampires but emotional people who drain people either by accident or on purpose usually are not (this doesn't make them real Vampyres.)

Life Force Givers or those who have had too much energy taken from them could THINK that they could have been turned into a Vampyr. They may even have symptoms of Vampyrism but this is only temporary. Once they get the energy back they will be fine. None of this makes anyone a Vampyr of course. Vampyres, as most in the Community should know, are born and not created. Of course, some people may awaken late and the taking of their energy or blood may hasten their Awakening. Some believe a Vampyres genes or will power (as the gods we are) could however cause one to become a Vampyr especially if the feed on the person enough. That MAY be possible if they are strong enough and the person wants it enough.

My husband has been my primary donor for quite some time, and he did begin to notice himself tiring quicker, and began to mimic some of the "sensitivities" that I have. Never did we think that he had "turned", but certainly it was discussed that eventually he would have to have some time off. (Not quite what we had talked over, him going overseas..but it is time off..LOL)

When I was blessed with two donors (as I am now, although neither is close to me at the moment) the occurrence of his "symptoms" reduced significantly. I think that most of us need more than one person alone can provide for any serious length of time. And while it can be difficult enough to find and hang onto ONE donor...I think it advisable not to put all of the load on any one donor for long lengths of time if you are able to avoid the situation with your donor..or at least planned "vacations."

I do believe being taken from may trigger there awakening...

That is somewhat odd that he is using nickname spawned from a term used in the role playing game Vampire: The Masquerade. You would think that he would want to distance himself from anything like that in order to be taken seriously.

While I do agree that the notion of turning someone is a bogus one, I do not agree that psychic vamps are just emotional people draining others. Yes, emotional situations tend to drain people. Emotional people tend to draw energy as well. But being an emotional person does not make you a psi vamp. Nor does being a psi vamp automatically make you an emotional vampyre. In my mind, they are two different entities entirely. Having done a fair bit of manipulation of energy in my few years on this earth, I'd say yes, it's possible to just draw energy and absorb it and not truly be a vampyre, but I've also noticed that those who are not truly in need of this energy suffer ill effects from keeping it within their bodies and not grounding it. I've seen folks pass out, throw up, have nervous breakdowns, and other equally as horrid things, when they've drawn energy for the purpose of ritual work or spell work, and not ground it out afterwards. And from my senses, I could figure out that it was an amount of energy that any vamp would be easily able to handle.

I hope at least some of that makes sense? I've had too much cough syrup today, so if anything needs clarifying, please don't hesitate to call me out on it.

I think psi vampyrism is a wonderful way to supplement sang donations, and also an excellent way of coping when you have no other way, but I do, personally, not understand how one could live off of this alone.

But then, on the other hand, there are a lot of people who don't quite get my preferred way of feeding, either, which I'll try to explain, hopefully without hijacking your thread!

I feel this may be a bit of a long response, so feel free to read or not read at your will. My own experiences are varied. I've had others in the vampyre community tell me outright that I was full of horseshit, and that I should just go stick my head in a few unsavory places because of the way that I draw my energy. I'll admit, as readily as the next person, that I'm a bit unorthodox, perhaps even a freak occurance. But I do know what I do, and I know what I am in my heart. And really, that's what matters.

I am primarily an elemental vamp, or whatever someone would like to term me. I was never much one for labels, to be truthful. My preferred method of energy transfer is via fire. And fire, yes, does include the sun. This does not, by any means, mean that I like to exclude other methods, such as blood or prana. However, the sun is usually the strongest, quickest, and easiest way for me to feed.

What I do not know, however, is how this came about. Whether it was a learned ability, an innate ability, or just a habit that developed out of necessity. When I was younger, much younger, a small child in fact, I hated the sun. I hated being outside. I hated dealing with sunlight. Around puberty, when my poor little self was trying oh-so-hard to fit in with the goth scene, I found myself being drawn more and more to the sunlight. I still lay claim to being one of the few goths around with a suntan. But I digress.

What this means, exactly, is that I am able to function quite well, without having to conciously focus on feeding too much. Ambient sunlight is all around, so there is no issue with finding a willing donor, or seeking outlets to help me cope. In that sense, I am lucky to be this way.

On the flipside, because I've got such a readily available source of energy, I've often found myself acting as a kitra (For those of you who aren't sure of the term and don't know what it means, religioustolerance.org defines a kitra as someone who acts as both a vamp and a donor. There are a few other definitions floating around, but this is really the most accepted I've noticed) Which, while not entirely unpleasant, is not without its effects on my own energy level. Although it is quite interesting to look on "vamp on vamp on sun" action. Though with the development of my insulin levels, I've been told I taste too sickly sweet for most, thus I shy away from

I am a psychic vampyre and wasn't trying to to say anything bad about them at all, please understand that. I was trying to show the difference between them...

Ah, I misunderstood. Please feel free to disregard that, then. Sorry. Likewise, I wasn't meaning to sound offensive or upset at all, and apologize if it came out that way.

Various woman seem to ask me to turn them and I dont even know where to start? Its quite annoying, I just say Imposable and NO...

Or how uneducated and unaware, as they themselves are not Vampyres..and have pretty much fiction to rely on as a means of "study"..lol.. It is annoying I am certain, but something that they do not have any awareness of outside Bram Stoker's Dracula and the like.

I think alot of the people who are asking to be turned are suffering from a lack of "personal power" in their lives. They want the "gift" so that they have an excuse to set free, to abandon Societal "okays" and "free the Beast" ..lol..

It's not all bad. If we in turn: educate them, give them a sense of belonging, counsel them in regards to their own "personal power", it's often amazing the: strong, talented, and often quite charming..individuals we uncover.

Many of us during our own Awakenings were not aware of "all that we could be." (Please forgive me, it was too tempting, had to use it.) As we grew and learned, oftentimes through a combination of experience and our interactions with others just like us..we came to understand many things we had not known before.

Treat your interactions with such persons as awakening them to the truth about us, and sit back and watch what happens. You might be quite surprised. It's a beautiful thing, the unfolding of an open mind. :)

well i don't believe in awakening sorry.
but yes, i do agreed with the born thing, because there is a proved in math about a Vampire can't be contaminate or infect into human.otherwise the world are become one blood.

and about those donors behavior,i think it's just some lonely teenager work.
when you are really who you are,no need to be shout it,mother of darkness know what we are.
and that more than enough.
